Greg has had in excess of thirty years of professional experience. He had thirteen years with Deloitte following which he founded MSM Loss Management and has spent the last twenty four years providing all aspects of litigation support, claim quantification, claim management, pre and post lost consulting and training on a range of insurance related topics.

Professional Experience

Greg has extensive experience across a broad range of industries. He is involved in numerous mining claims not only in Australia but also in North America and South Africa for a number of national and multinational mining companies. Greg also has extensive construction experience again in national and international locations. The construction experience includes projects valued in excess of a billion dollars and includes construction works, professional indemnity, liability, advanced loss of profits and delay in start-up assignments. Greg also has experience in a broad range of power and energy working on a range of generations and transmission clients. In the construction, power and energy, mining, minerals and metals industry Greg has been the lead consultant on many of Australia’s largest claims in these sectors. In addition to large claims Greg has also undertaken numerous complex business analysis engagements and modelling of business impact and maximum probable loss scenarios, examples of five major exercises in the last twelve months include assignments for Lion, Graincorp, Metcash, Ridley and Caltex.

Greg has specialised in providing all aspects of pre and post loss consulting services across the entire range of financial claims in particular business interruption and economic loss claims. Greg has a proven track record of achieving the settlement of claims for which he is responsible, he also acts for a number of legal firms providing litigation support and expert opinions and is registered with the Institute of Chartered Accountants as an expert in business interruption claims. He regularly appears in both the Supreme and District courts as an expert and has been directly involved in providing expert opinion in numerous mediations and arbitrations in Australia, United Kingdom and North America. Greg has had direct involvement in many of Australia’s largest insurance claims including business interruption, advanced loss of profits, product liability and construction across a range of industries.

Greg has extensive experience in preparing and presenting specialist workshops and training courses over the past three decades and has the power and energy industry experience and expertise to prepare and present topic focused training in this specialist area. Greg has volunteered many hours of his time to both the insurance and accounting professions. He spent seven years on the Joint Professional Development Committee of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and Certified Practicing Accountants, was a Professional Year module assessor and has prepared and presented dozens of insurance training courses for the insurance broking profession through NIBA and other insurance risk related professional bodies as well as numerous workshops and courses for clients, broking houses and related entities.
